Updates on our lives

So my Aunt Lora mentioned to me earlier today that I have not posted anything on my blog in a while and people might be wondering why..... 

In September we lost my Dad. Mom took it really hard and still struggles a lot.  I hear her crying in her room at night when she thinks I am sleeping. She is getting better though.

Mom got me a big sister, Saylor Emerson, and a little brother, Tucker Lee, I will post their pictures later. I am on Mom's laptop while she is in loading the dishwasher so, I will not have time to post them right now. 

At Thanksgiving Mom bought a house across town so we spent most of the winter trying to move.  My Uncle Rick is working on remodeling it, but he has a lot to do and works a bunch so he can't get to it as quickly as he would like to.  

That has also kept me away from the computer a lot....  We are still trying to unpack everything and get it organized. I hate doing that part as much as Mom. Here is a picture of the house right after we bought it.  

 I will post pictures of my siblings later this week.

Too Early, Pickles

Pickles woke me up really early this morning. He thought he needed to go for a walk. And since Mom said he was my responsibility I had to get up and take him out. Mom was laughing when she peaked out the backdoor and saw me.  She said I reminded her of herself when she first gets out of bed and Tanner her dog needs out. She said her hair looks like a bird's nest too. And she also grabs what ever shoes are closest.  I grabbed these boots because they are warm.

By the way Pickles just wanted to play in the early morning sun. I can't believe that dog. Doesn't he realize that I wanted to sleep in?

It is okay, I do love him.  He is the bestest dog in the world.

My bestest friend

You all met my new best friend, Pickles, and now you can meet my bestest friend in the whole world.  Here name is Skylar Roxanne Crouch. I told ya about her in my first post... Now you can see what she looks like.  We do not get to see each other too much right now, because Mom is so busy right now. But we do get to see each other every Sunday for church. Except this Sunday Mom has somewhere to go. I overheard her saying she is dreading it too. Something about too much loss. So, I gave her one of my special hugs and she smiled. 

 I told Mom that Skylar and I need cell phones so we can talk all the time like she and Aunt Lora do on the computer. She said she would think about it. I think she might be getting us some because I heard her ask Aunt Lora when Skylar's birthday was after I showed her she could get us some from eBay. Keep your fingers crossed that she goes and head and orders them soon. 

Meet Pickles

In honor of National Dog Day today, Mom let me adopt a puppy of my own.  He is so cute and Mom said he will never get any bigger, which is great since I will always be little too.

I named him Pickles because the adoption place had a green leash and collar that reminded me of pickle juice. After I told the lady what I was going to call him and why she said we should keep the leash and collar then.

I love playing with him.  He is so fun and cute. I took him for a walk around the yard when we got home and Mom said I should not wear my heels while walking him or I would be sorry as she put it.  She was right.. My feet hurt after that. Pickles made it all better though because when I sat down in the chair and took my shoes off he climbed up with me and was trying to give me lots of love.

He is my other best friend. Skylar will always be my bestest friend though.

All About Me

When I was first put on this Earth I met this really cool girl by the name of Skylar. We did so much together until the day Skylar got adopted. I was so lonely, but at the same time happy that Skylar had found a really good Mommy. 

While Skylar was away I made a few new friends, but known were quite like my bestest friend in the world. We use to tell everyone we were sisters, that is how close we were. 

Then, one day while I was just standing around with some of my friends, the lady who adopted Skylar came into our adoption center with this other lady.  These two ladies were laughing and having fun and it made me miss Skylar so much. 

I noticed they kept looking at my friends, picking them up, hugging them, and putting them back down. Which I had seen many times before so I knew they were looking to take one of us home. So, I crossed my fingers and put on my prettiest smile, when I heard Skylar's Mommy say, "Rhonnie, I think I found HER." She was looking right at me.  The other lady, who looked a lot like me, came over, picked me up, hugged me and said, "She is perfect." And she took me shopping, got my ears pierced and I heard her tell Skylar's mommy that she was going to name me Miranda Linn Thomas. 

I liked the Linn Thomas part of that name, but I wasn't too sure about the Miranda part when I heard my new mommy say. But, I will call her Randi Linn. Y'all I love that name. I found out while we were shopping that Skylar's mommy's name is Lora and my new mommy's real name is Rhonda, but she prefers Rhonnie.  I think she and I are going to be a perfect match since we both have nicknames we like better.

After shopping, we got to the car and Skylar's mommy said. "Skylar, I want you to meet your new cousin, Randi." We both squealed when we saw each other. This means we will get to see each other a lot. We sat in the backseat the whole way home giggle, making plans, and smiling because we finally were seeing each other again.  Skylar heard my new mommy say that they would have to do lots of photo shoots with the two of us for Aunt Sissy's Originals. Skylar then told me she models for her mommy's store. My new aunt Lora is the owner of a store and she makes all kinds of awesome clothes. Skylar told me she was the one who made my pajamas that Skylar gave me. How lucky of a girl can I be?  I got my best friend back in my life, my new mommy is bestest friend with Skylar's mommy which makes her my new aunt, and my new aunt makes lots of awesome clothes.
